Buddha on the Diamond in the Mud

Direct Channeled Message – Received from the Buddha at the threshold, where dreaming and waking are one

Diamond Sutra

“This is how to contemplate our conditioned existence in this fleeting world:

Like a tiny drop of dew, or a bubble floating in a stream;

Like a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,

Or a flickering lamp, an illusion, a phantom, or a dream.

So is all conditioned existence to be seen.”

I. On Living and Dying

Being alive is dying,

But in death there is no dying

But living.

So what is death

But a mere illusion of the mind?

And so is living.

To live is to die.

To never die is to never live.

Whether it is about

Living or dying,

One must embrace it with open eyes,

So that one will not miss

The diamond in the mud.

II. On the Observer

It is not the presence

But the absence of an observer,

Observing nothing at all.

If you can perceive all that is

As nothing,

All that is nothing, is not,

Then you perceive

Truth as the diamond

That cuts through the illusion.

III. On What Is and Is Not

There is no life in dying

And yet there is no life in living.

To be is to see that all that is

Is all that is not,

And all that is not

Is truly the gift to be received.

IV. On Fear and Seeing

It is not about coming or going,

But the absence of fear

To be where one’s body is.

If you truly perceive

Life as not the gift

But a receiver of no giving,

If you can open arms

To all that is not seen,

Then your eyes, the no-eyes,

Will then see.

V. On Light

To touch light is to hold no perception

Of what is said to be light.

And to see not-light is just as

True as the pure light.

VI. On Practice

(Diamond Sutra, with my disciple Subhuti.)

This is what I taught in that sitting.

If you want to learn more,

You have to sit, to lie,

To be still, to run,

To be free, to be nothing.

VII. On the “Who”

Nothing is not who you are,

And yet the “who”

Is both question and answer.

To not perceive a “who”

Is the greatest gift of all.

In no perceiving,

Nothing can be judged.

And so in no judging,

Not one thing can be a thing.

VIII. On “Is”

To be is the same as

To not be.

The “is” is not what you think.

It is the mind playing tricks on itself.

Therefore, strip the mind of all thinking,

And you will perceive the light.
