Diamond Sutra Song
Hands of the Wind
The hand I offer, unseen by any eye. Even when you reach to take, no one receives. No name, no act, yet a quiet miracle, a subtle play of mind. So clear before my gaze, a world without a trace, flowing like wind, soaking like waves, becoming light that blesses all our days.
No east or west, an open sky. No you or I. Love’s pure tide fills all the borders of our daily life with rays of diamond light.
In the giving and the taking, hearts move, yet there is nothing to see and nothing to hold. A mystery beyond the words of light, chasing each shadow and finding no trace. Only the fragrance of a flower, a miracle face to face.
The moon above, one with my heart, shines and fades with no farewell. Oh path of no abiding, you shine through me and dwell within my soul.
In the humble smile of one with nothing, the whole wide world is mirrored there. What is there left to cast away, or left to claim as mine? Beyond all choice, the fragrance of true giving blossoms in the air that soothes my heart, a shadowless mind reborn in wonder.
Our daily scenes of give and take are like weighing grains upon a scale. Thought draws fine lines through our eyes and hands, finding life in webs of care. Yet when wisdom’s wind begins to blow, the pendulum of the heart melts away like snow.
And beyond vision, free within this heart, a colorless painting waves in peace. No need to cling, no place to stay. My watercolor of starlight gleams across the darkened sky. We’ll meet in light.
Kindness flows, mystic and unseen, a forgotten home, an ancient melody reborn. Spring returns. The flowers bloom, yet never speak. The moonlit breeze still stirs my sleep.
A simple smile beyond all miracles, from giving and receiving grows a flower of the heart. Even in giving, no giver can be found. Even in receiving, the wind’s ecstatic mystery. One or two, the difference fades away.
Let us live beneath the stars that rekindle our own light, turning the light around, awakening the heart.
Let this be the frame of my life.
