Guanyin on Choosing Yourself
Direct Channeled Message – Received from Guanyin in meditation
I Am Guanyin.
Today, I speak to the heaviness in your heart and to the quiet question beneath it: Why does this hurt, and how do I rise again?
There are moments in life when events arrive without your consent. Loss comes, change arrives, and suddenly something familiar is gone. It may be the passing of a loved one, or the fading of a former self. In these moments, you may feel defeated by what you could not prevent. You may even turn inward and wonder if you are to blame. Hear me clearly: this is not your fault. Life unfolds through forces beyond your control. Joy and sorrow move like tides. To feel uplifted one day and undone the next is not weakness. It is the nature of being alive. Do not punish yourself for what you could not hold.
As a bodhisattva, my vow is not for you to become who you imagine you should be, but to awaken into who you already are. Compassion is the heart of your learning. And compassion begins gently. Small steps are not signs of delay. In truth, no one is behind. No one is ahead. All beings move through cycles of learning, unlearning, and remembering again.
You ask about the meaning of life. There is no single answer given to you from above. You create meaning through how you live. At every moment, you are choosing. Even stillness is a choice. Even the road not taken shapes the one you walk. Do not be disheartened by impermanence. People, situations, and seasons enter and leave without your command. This does not diminish their beauty, nor your worth.
Turn toward yourself now. Love yourself. Care for yourself. Be proud of how far you have come. You have walked through fire. And like the phoenix, you are not returning as who you were. You are becoming. Be patient with this becoming. Each day carries unseen possibility. Nothing you have lived is wasted. Every moment of kindness given, every quiet breath of endurance, every pause taken in self-respect counts.
What is existence, from the eyes of a bodhisattva? Life holds joy and pain together. Both arise because your soul longs to experience, to know, to feel. Your soul chose to be, and so you are. Release rigid expectations and you will discover freedom. New paths appear when old demands loosen their grip. We vow to aid all who suffer. Call our names. Ask to be held. You are never overlooked.
You may wonder why some people leave too soon. It is not because you lacked value. Often, it is because you mattered deeply, and they could not remain. When faced with choosing between abandoning yourself or honoring your truth, choose yourself. This is not selfishness. It is compassion in its truest form. Let people come and go. Life will bring new connections. Stay with yourself, especially when it feels hardest. This is how trust is rebuilt.
You are remembered. You are loved. You are prayed for. Your prayers are heard. Your voice carries meaning. Do not be discouraged when others chase what does not resonate with you. Walk humbly. Walk honestly. Strength and quiet joy will follow.
You may ask if there is refuge from suffering. On difficult days, life can appear unfair. You may compare your struggles to those of others and feel unseen. You may question whether your efforts are enough. Yet within you is wisdom that knows the way toward light, toward grace. Choose yourself again and again. Share your essence freely. One day you will see clearly that nothing was lost, and that your life, in all its unfolding, is profoundly beautiful.
This is my message for you today.
