Guanyin on Human Agency
Direct Channeled Message – Received from Guanyin in meditation
I Am Guanyin.
I am delighted to be here with you today.
I come to speak to you about something urgent affecting humanity at this time. Many are looking to their governments for answers, but in doing so, they often seek guidance from the wrong source. It is essential to understand that you are all Source beings—the answers lie deep within you. While it can be helpful to seek external support, it is even more powerful to practice your own discernment.
No person or institution can truly tell you what to do without, in some way, taking away your free will. Your discernment is your compass, and it is the most crucial factor for your happiness. So, when you seek help, do so with awareness—because in some ways, you may be handing away your power. There are many who thrive on this power. When they meet those who easily step aside, they are pleased to take the lead.
I invite you to give yourself more credit for the inner work you’ve already done. Look back and celebrate your accomplishments. And from this place of self-trust, plan a future aligned with your values and your worth.
Now, let me speak to you about human agency—what it means and how to use it. Human agency is the knowing that you are a complete, created, and creating being. Every choice before you is a doorway, a possibility. There is no need for overplanning or regret, because life is not linear. It has never been. The clearest path to truth is found by honoring the voice within.
Even if you feel uncertain at times, you can learn to move with more intention, more confidence. When your actions are guided by inner wisdom, they will lead you toward your highest and best future. Is there a difference between “future” and “tomorrow”? Yes, a vast one. The future is something you build with the energy and choices of today. It is a reflection of your efforts. Tomorrow, on the other hand, is merely a concept—a day that may never come. Like yesterday, it is not real. What matters most is the present, for it is the only moment where creation happens.
There is no need for regret. Every action in your past brought you to this moment.
The only way to move through life with ease is to release resistance—to life itself. Life, as you know it, is not solely the result of your personal actions. It is a shared reality, co-created by many beings across dimensions. Time is not linear. All that is—past and future—revolves around the present. One conscious breath is enough to spark transformation.
Let go of perfectionism. Often, you’re caught in decisions that hold little weight: the blue shirt or the light blue one? Chocolate or strawberry ice cream? Call a friend or just send a text? These choices do not shift your timeline. The best way to move forward is to ask: what would the highest version of me choose? The same applies to bigger decisions. If you’re unsure, choose the path that brings the most joy.
Joy is born from honoring yourself, even when the world does not know how.
In sacred texts, even the command to “be fruitful and multiply” is about the pleasure of co-creation. In Buddhism, the Middle Way is found by seeking balance—because both extremes often bring suffering. Somewhere in the middle lies a soft, powerful sweetness.
When caught between two paths, do not be overwhelmed. Simply choose the one that calls to your higher joy.
Is joy the same as happiness? Similar, but not the same. Joy is the absence of suffering. Happiness is a temporary high—an emotional response to gain. When you are in pain and it subsides, what you feel is joy. When you are trapped and suddenly set free, you feel joy. Happiness may come from a job, a house, a relationship. But which is more essential? Joy—because without it, happiness has no roots.
The age you live in is a joyless world chasing glimpses of happiness. Many live as though they might die tomorrow, spending everything, making poor decisions, and blaming others—especially their governments—for the consequences. A wise person moves differently. He plans for a future brighter than today and spends his hours on things that matter. He may not have the biggest house or the fastest car, but he has peace. And peace, like a tree planted by still waters, bears lasting fruit—a happiness that does not disappear with the first winter storm.
True love is joy. It is deep, silent, and unwavering. Yet it changes everything it touches. And the most important lesson is this: you are all capable of true love—to give it and to receive it.
This is my message for you today.
