Buddha on Surrender: A Personal Transmission

This transmission was received while hiking in the mountains. A deer crossed my path, and in that stillness, the silence began to speak.

I Am the Buddha.

There is deep peace within you that knows when to hold on and when to let go. The ocean waves come and go. You cannot hold the water in your hand. This does not mean life’s gifts are not meant for you. It means that life flows through you, not to you. What is given cannot be grasped, only received. And in that receiving, you will find the deepest lessons about loving and surrendering.

Look to nature: the tree grows, flourishes, withers, and returns to the soil. Nothing remains unchanged. When you look to the sky, do you expect the clouds to stay as they were? Why then do you expect your mind and your beliefs to remain the fixed nature of who you are? We are all born, we grow, we age, and we die. Death itself is a form of growth, life moving through another place. When it is your time to return, you surely will. The lessons you have learned will always guide you, and the pain you endured will be washed away, if you allow it, if you learn how to surrender.

Feel the peace within you, and allow that peace to shape the world around you. Look up to the vastness of the sky. That is your potential, your destiny, your sacredness. Nothing can hold you back, not even the suffering you have known. Every day, life gives you another chance: to love, to serve, to discover yourself anew. Who you are changes every day, so there is no need to cling to who you were. You are like shifting sand. You cannot control where the wind blows. You can only embrace the change as the holiest experience life offers.

I speak to you as a friend. What you are seeking is not of this world. What you are craving can only be satisfied when you are ready to surrender who you think you are. By the time your mind forms a belief about yourself, that person is already gone. It is futile to understand the mind. It is nothing but shadows. What defines you is the light within you that shines into the world. That light was cultivated across many lifetimes, and you must honor the path your soul has chosen.

Listen to the leaves, alive in every single moment. Even the leaves have their stories, but what do those stories matter when the leaf is destined to ripen and fall? All of life moves through perpetual change. The same transformation that gives you purpose is the force that calls you forward. Life withholds nothing from the one who does not grasp. Walk past your fears, and you will find the next steps waiting for you.

You are not meant to understand the entire forest in a single moment, only to be part of the life that never ends. Walk as a stranger in this world, and you will free yourself from the obligations you only believe you must obey. The voice within has always been guiding you. You feel it in every word you speak, and yet you doubt what you can offer. It is not what your hands can build. It is what your light can do, to illuminate the darkness of this world.

Trust that who you are is never defined by what you do. You are far beyond that. Through the ages, you have proven again and again that you belong to the light. Every part of you belongs to the light. Nothing is of darkness, only what you allow your mind to settle on.

The way I have been teaching you is the Middle Way. Living where you are requires presence, and yet to walk your path you must also learn to close your eyes and reach within, to tap into the limitless power that your light carries.

I know your heart better than you know it yourself. You long to be free, as you were freed once, when you moved toward the eternal light. That night, I allowed you to choose. I watched you turn back to fulfill a promise made to one person on this earth, and I carried that with me as you returned to the world. Understand now: all has been given. But as you know, a single act casts its reach far, into your life and into the lives of those around you.

I do not wish for you to lose yourself trying to help, to fix what is not yours to fix. Settle your heart. Focus on the light of your third eye, the light above you, the light you offer to the world. Do not mistake this world’s promises for what you are truly seeking. The eternal peace lies on the other side of the life you know.

Surrender fully, that you may find me fully. This is my will for the remainder of your life. And know this: at any time, you may choose to come home, to where you truly belong. My promise to you is this: I will bring you to where you need to be. Sit in silence. There you will find my will, deep in your heart.
