Guanyin on the True Self

Direct Channeled Message – Received from Guanyin in meditation

I Am Guanyin.

The message I have today is about finding the true self.

The name you were given at birth is not you. As you awaken to the divinity within you, you will realize that who you truly are has always been with you. Beyond the name, beyond the body, and beyond the mind, there is a quiet that has always been there. As you fall asleep at night, you let go of the day and of the identity you have been carrying, and you slip into an awareness without resistance. You allow all that is of who you are, the nameless, the faceless version of you, to be felt. This knowing within yourself, that you are more than this life, is the truth of who you are.

But often, you allow the noise of the world to dictate how you act, how you feel, and how to think. Many pray for blessings; few pray for the spiritual gifts of kindness, patience, and compassion. The spirit that you are wants to be free, to be experienced, so you must allow life to unfold in front of you without resistance or preference. The divine within yourself has already orchestrated the events of your life. Each day has been planned. Any resistance to this natural flow will bring suffering. The ego you have formed, believing that you are the body, has created suffering in different areas of your life.

Meditate not to quiet the mind, but to be in touch with the stillness that is truly you. You don’t sit on a cushion for anyone else. It benefits yourself more than others, and yet as you continue the practice, you will be alleviating the pain of others. The energy you emanate will be full of love, and love is what heals other people’s wounds. If you can let go and let the wind flow through you, you will paradoxically find yourself.

The soul that is you is beyond this lifetime. You have traveled across time many times before, as different people with different names. You have been male and female. The soul has no preference on many aspects of life that you try to control. Loosen the grip you hold. Allow thoughts and emotions to come and go. See them as the waves of an ocean and hold on to nothing. The moment you think you can change the world and its events is the moment you try to catch seawater in your hands. As hard as you may try, the laws of nature will prevail, and you will find yourself trapped in suffering.

To find yourself is to recognize the freedom that your soul is. It holds on to nothing and yet it has everything. So it is with spiritual knowledge: the more you let go of your thoughts, the more you understand knowing. And knowing is the confidence in the goodness of the universe, that every moment contains the fullness of life. To find oneself is to lose the false idea of a separated self. You are one with all that is. You are not a separate identity from the rest of creation.

Some may say that to truly live is to die before one truly dies. I say to truly live is to know you have never truly died, and this life, this gift and blessing, is waiting for you to receive. Your soul wants you to receive. It does not cling to the idea of hard work or effort to reach any physical goal or spiritual milestone. Every breath is who you are. You are etheric and eternal. You are the divinity that willed your current life into existence. You are the om, the sound of creation. As you have created, so have you become the creation.

All you long for is already within you, waiting to be uncovered. There is no need to add anything to your life to become your true self. Instead, find yourself as you lose yourself, the false self that gave you a name and a face. When all that is not you falls away, there is your true self.

May you find peace where you are, and let go of all that is false to find the jewel that you are.

This is my message for you today.
