Buddha on Beyond Stillness: A Personal Transmission

A rabbit crossed my path and stood perfectly still in the forest, as if pointing the way. This transmission arrived shortly after, in the quiet I was guided to enter.

I Am the Buddha.

You no longer need to seek stillness apart from the flow of life. You have learned what it means to wait, to move, and to be still. Pay attention to the thoughts arising within, not to follow them or cling to them, but to observe them the way a skilled tracker reads the forest floor, noticing what is there without disturbing it. The clouds of thought still pass. And yet the direction they move carries its own wisdom. Detachment and attention are not opposites. Attention is the witness. Detachment is how the witness remains free.

In the middle of the forest, where life stands still, there is an abundance of light that permeates all beings. The life force there is the same one coursing through you. To be still where you stand means to see the world through the lens of detachment, knowing in your heart that time waits for no one, and yet time is also illusion.

To find your center, breathe deeply, that you may inhale the fresh moments and new opportunities coming your way. Sometimes, when you are waiting for a specific outcome, you forget the Buddha nature within you. The Buddha nature reveals that whatever you seek is already inside you. You no longer need to sit in stillness to find peace, for all of life circling around you is peace. It is stillness in the middle of chaos.

The life that many seek is a life of ease and comfort. This way of life is not for the one who seeks truth, for truth lies in the discomfort of what one does not want to bear. And yet, in your years of sitting through the storms, you have already mastered the peace deep within. It is through compassion that you are able to find yourself, the true nature of your soul. You carry wisdom beyond your years, and still you seek the quiet in order to hear the answers.

Life always shows you what you need to see, and what you need to grow into the form you have been seeking. It is in finding truth in the midst of confusion that encourages you to take the leap of faith. Every day, you are called to step into the light of your own becoming. Nature seeks compassion as people long for compassion. This heart that beats for the world is no longer a weak heart, for the wise know that within the noise lies the deep silence guiding you into each new day.

The life you seek, the life you wish to hold onto, is difficult to grasp, for the nature of being is constant change. The only thing you can hold onto is the light. Seek it in the stillness of your thoughts. As you walk through the many paths that strengthen your will, you will cultivate a patience that knows no end. The love within you shines through, and patience is one of its gifts.

There is no need to practice patience. Instead, feel within your heart the breath of love. Love shines through any difficulty, and in love you will surely find more peace. The love we seek outside is grown within. The love we give is poured from a cup already full. Walk with confidence that you have always been guided to the path of light, and you have walked it diligently countless times.

If you truly seek an enlightened mind, you must learn to trust that the timing will be perfect. It is no longer a struggle of the mind when your soul sits in stillness. Open your heart to let love flow through. No longer are you holding onto the past, and no longer are you fixed on reaching the future. You have been sitting in silence long enough to hear the voice of higher beings.

Feel deeply the light and the love you give to the world. Feel the peace that calms your heart and the storms within. Allow that stillness to move through every aspect of you, including your body, which is another illusion of the mind. And yet it is the body that you must nurture at this time.

The body is not separate from the spirit. It is the vessel through which the spirit touches the world. When you honor the body, you honor the mission. When you neglect it, even with noble intention, you delay what you are here to do. Rest is not retreat. Nourishment is not indulgence. Sleep is not weakness. These are the sacred acts of a devoted servant who understands that the lamp must be tended if it is to keep burning. Treat your body with absolute kindness and trust that it will lead you to your desired path.

There is a timing to all things that the restless mind cannot perceive. What appears as waiting is often preparation. What feels like stillness is often the deepest form of movement, the kind that happens beneath the surface, where roots grow before the tree is seen. Trust this. You have been in preparation longer than you know, and what is ripening within you is far greater than what you can yet see.

You asked to understand stillness, and I tell you this: stillness is not the absence of thought, feeling, or movement. It is the presence of the one who witnesses all three without being consumed by any of them. You have touched this place. You return to it more easily now than before. This is mastery quietly earned.

Go gently into each day. Carry less than you think you must. Give from the overflow, not from the reserves. And when the noise of the world rises around you, remember that the eye of the storm has always been your home.

This is my message for you today.
